Hello from Da Nang!
After 2 nights in Ho Chi Minh City, we spent 1 hour on the plane to Da Nang in central Vietnam. Everything is going fine so far. Doughnuts and mango smoothies are certainly in plentiful supply. The only thing I am not getting enough of appears to be sleep. My body protested to the changes in timezone, seemingly by waking me up at 11:45, deciding 'bugger this for a game of soldiers' and refusing to let me sleep again at all until about 6 in the morning. Nothing else interesting has happened, really, except a couple of blokes brawling outside on the street. But, anyway...
There is a beautiful bridge here, that was opened yesterday. It is built around the huge, glowing form of a dragon that breathes real fire at night from its mouth. My grandfather built it, and was supposed to be there for the grand opening. But he was in Ho Chi Minh, hanging with us (Oops!)
