An Added Note.

A slight correction. Grandad didn't build the Dragon Bridge, but his company did design it.

We visited the War Remnants Museum in Saigon and it was interesting to see the changes that had been made since we were last there. We kept losing Cade (naturally) as he was more interested in photographing tanks than in reading about the war

Beau Bunny has had an enjoyable trip  so far, starting with brekkie at Jamies Bakery at Gatwick Airport, he partook of a particularly well custard stuffed almond croissant and a coffee before being stuffed into the nearest letterbox.

He of course accompanied us to the WR Museum and he enjoyed his humungo baked king prawns we shared for lunch after.

At Une Journee a Paris just up the road from the Ben Thahn Market  BB stumbled on some locally produced single origin chocolate. We did, of course, slip some into our suitcase to bring home to try, purely out of professional interest.

Tomorrow we're heading for a day at the beach.

Dragon Bridge

Hello from Da Nang!
After 2 nights in Ho Chi Minh City, we spent 1 hour on the plane to Da Nang in central Vietnam. Everything is going fine so far. Doughnuts and mango smoothies are certainly in plentiful supply. The only thing I am not getting enough of appears to be sleep. My body protested to the changes in timezone, seemingly by waking me up at 11:45, deciding 'bugger this for a game of soldiers' and refusing to let me sleep again at all until about 6 in the morning. Nothing else interesting has happened, really, except a couple of blokes brawling outside on the street. But, anyway...
There is a beautiful bridge here, that was opened yesterday. It is built around the huge, glowing form of a dragon that breathes real fire at night from its mouth. My grandfather built it, and was supposed to be there for the grand opening. But he was in Ho Chi Minh, hanging with us (Oops!)
